Master Lin A (Nian) Long

A public taiji  teacher based in Taipei, Taiwan .

Many yrs ago I had visited Master Lin, A (Nian) Long and his group with some of my taiji students from the US some of them borne in Taiwan acting as translators.

He graciously demonstrated his 凌空勁  Volley jin, practice on his students while explaining different points of the demo…Commonly referred to as 空勁  “kong jin”  or “empty force” when translated to English can be misleading ignoring some of  the  historical underpinnings of the practice, and theory that its based on…

It is neither a “force” nor “empty “

To understand why, one would have to examine the theory it’s based on.

to be covered in later posts concerning 凌空勁  Volley jin.  Some teachers are more public in their training then others . Master Lin A (Nain) Long, is one such teacher. An accounting by one of his students talking to another friend asking about his practice.

Master Lin A (Nian) Long’s Taijiquan is yin and yang combined with virtue, rigidity, softness, and body. It is written by embodying the heaven and earth, and the virtue of enlightening the gods.

The purpose of opening the station is the unity of boxing and martial arts

The origin of the station

The origin of Taijiquan and Master Lin A (Nian) Long’s website Many years ago, I was chatting with a friend and talked about his participation in Taijiquan taught by Master Lin A (Nian) Long.  When asked why he wanted to learn Taijiquan, he said: “Come practice first, and then you will have something to do after you retire!”.

I agree. Taijiquan should be learned as early as possible. If you learn it earlier, you can win at the starting point, so that you can retire with peace of mind. When I was older, when it was not convenient to climb mountains or travel, I practiced Tai Chi, and there was relatively no venue restriction.

After practicing Taijiquan for three months, Teacher Lin said: I haven’t tried it for a long time, and I don’t know if it works or not. At that time, when I squatted on a horse step, Master Lin swung his palm above the Baihui acupoint on my head, thinking that I also weigh 60kg, what can I do? All of a sudden, Master Lin lifted his palm up, and my feet were off the ground, and my face felt as if it was torn.

Only then did I know what volley strength is, and I was addicted to the broad and profound Taijiquan from then on. Wu Tunan published the “Ling Kong Jing Song” under the name of Wu Labu in his early years. From his personal experience, it is also often misunderstood that Ling Kong Jin is “true”.

To sum up, Mr. Lin and Li Lian described Wu Tunan’s expression when he released it in the air: “Master stared at me and pointed forward with ten fingers”, and Wu Tunan’s recounting that Yang Luchan frightened Duan Wang Zaiyi to turn over and fall off the horse. The situation, how similar!

Does the Yang family have the volley energy that Wu Tunan mentioned? Wu Tunan said that he got the lingkong energy from the Yang family, is it nonsense, or is it true?

I don’t understand, and I don’t need to go into details, but I can feel it in Teacher Lin’s demeanor.

This is just the beginning. Later, I slowly comprehended the philosophy of yin and yang and the philosophy of life in Taijiquan. Thanks to Mr. Lin for his selfless teaching, I have made more friends outside of practicing boxing. You are welcome to join this big family, get to know us, Mr. Lin, and Taijiquan.
